About The Carpe Noctem Hostel

Carpe Noctem Hostel is the one of the perfect places for single and multiple travelers who want to socialize, hang out and experience life in the city during the day and at night when the sightseeing period has ended. This small but lively hostel offers spacious rooms right in the heart of the city.

Located in the center of Budapest, the hostel is 10-15 minutes walking distance from the cityâ€™s main sites such as the City Park, Szechenyi Thermal Baths, Oktogon, Freedom Square, House of Terror, St Istvan’s Basilica and The Danube, Parliament. It is surrounded by a broad variety of public transport options. Should you want to use the night bus route, 4/6 tram route, trolley bus route, yellow metro or blue metro, they are just on the hostelâ€™s doorstep.

The hostel is off the main road which has cafes, pubs, bars, 24-hour shops, restaurants, and clubs. It takes only 10-15 minutes to get from the Airport to the hostel. Should you want to go to these places any time of the day, there are many taxis available to get you to use.

The hostel has 8-bed dorms each with a unique character and shared facilities. There is also a 6 Bed Dorm Ensuite, Double Bed Private Ensuite, and Quadruple Room. Visitors can choose from a mixture of either single beds or bunk beds depending on the number of travelers accompanying you. But keep in mind these beds are spread over in a large room; there aren’t any private rooms. In fact, the number and type of beds per room may vary. It offers flexible check-in and checkout times.

Next to each bed there is a small wooden locker with a lock where valuable things can be kept. The hostel is fully equipped with a door lock code on the street level and another one on the hostelâ€™s top floor. There are no door lock codes to the individual rooms.

There is one spacious bathroom in the entire hostel flat. In this single bathroom, there are two showers, two sinks, and two toilets. Each shower is divided into two private areas separated by a curtain; one for showing and the other for changing.

There’s a kitchen in the hostel which can be used for those who donâ€™t want to eat food prepared by the hostel staff. Inside the kitchen, there is a big refrigerator. There is also a spacious living room fully equipped with a 32 inch TV screen, two laptops, a sofa and several beanbag seating. Besides a kitchen and a living room, the hostel also has a smoking hallway where visitors can meet to smoke.

Carpe Noctem Hostel perfectly defines the word free facilities. Some of the free facilities include free tea and coffee, free padlock hire, free use of electronic staff safe, free use of lockers, free bed linen, free towel hire and free internet on two laptops.
